Chicago Bulls Vs Milwaukee Bucks

The Lines: Bulls Bucks Have Had Mixed Results Against The Spread

#6 BULLS at #3 BUCKS | FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | April 20, 2022

it writes: “Milwaukee has compiled a 39-43-0 ATS record so far this year. The Bucks have covered the spread 10 times this season when playing as at least 10-point favorites. Milwaukees games have hit the over 40 out of 82 times this season. Chicago has put together a 43-39-0 ATS record so far this season. The Bulls have won their only game this season when playing as at least 10-point underdogs. A total of 40 Chicago games this season have hit the over.”

Bulls Key Player: Demar Derozan

Im trying to keep the 2-point alive. talked to Chuck about going off for 41 points in Game 2 without making a three-pointer.

The responsibility falls to DeMar DeRozan, to lead his Bulls to victory in Game 5. Considering both LaVine and Caruso are likely to be unavailable for this game, DeRozan will need to put up one of his best performances to beat the Bucks.

Through the series, DeRozan has led the Bulls in the scoring column. The Bulls All-Star has averaged 23.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.5 steals through four games. Hes shot 40% from the field in 40.1 minutes per game, but has failed to make a single three-pointer.

The Bulls seem to have everything going against them in this matchup, but thats nothing new for DeMar DeRozan. Expect a big scoring game from the Bulls star, regardless of the result.

Bucks Key Player: Jrue Holiday

Look at Jrue Holiday man

The NBA Analyst

While Giannis Antetokounmpo has been leading the way for the Bucks as a whole, Jrue Holiday stepping up in place of Khris Middleton has helped the Bucks to their success. With a focus on his offence, Holiday has been the difference maker for Milwaukee.

In his last game, a Game 4 win, Holiday posted 26 points, 7 assists, and 2 rebounds in just under 37 minutes of play. He was 10 of 21 from the field, and locked in from range where he was 5 of 8 on the day.

Holiday needs to be effective as a secondary scorer, in order for the Bucks to beat the Bulls. If he isnt on his game, the Bucks suddenly lose a lot of scoring ability. With his playmaking ability, a good scoring night only opens up opportunities to create for others.

Although the Bucks took a defensive slide after the All-Star break, they still can dominate games through their defense, which is anchored by guards Jrue Holiday and Wesley Matthews.

The Bulls struggled against the Bucks defense this season, averaging 101.5 points . While many teams began to double team DeMar DeRozan in the final third of the season, the Bucks were content to leave one of their primary defenders on the Bulls leading scorer.

Fansided: Value Can Be Found In Taking Bulls Vs Bucks

Peter Dewey writes: “The Bucks closed as 10.5-point favorites in Game 1, but oddsmakers arent adjusting this line much after both teams struggled to shoot the ball on Sunday. The Bulls offense simply has to be better for the team to have any chance to win, but it is a positive sign that Chicago was able to get stops defensively, as it was 28th in defensive rating over its last 10 games prior to Sunday. With the Bulls being just +900 to win the series, bettors that believe in Chicago may find more value in taking a stab at the Bulls on the moneyline in one of the next few games if they remain double-digit underdogs.”

Draft Kings: Bucks Vs Bulls Series Could Be A Quick One

Chinmay Vaidya writes: “Central division rivals meet in the first round of the playoffs when the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks face off against the Chicago Bulls. Milwaukee swept the regular season series between the two teams, so this could be a quick one. There is some recent beef between the two teams stemming from Grayson Allens flagrant foul on Alex Caruso this season.”

Chicago Bulls Vs Milwaukee Bucks Game 3 Preview And Thread: Pivotal

can the Bulls do the unthinkable in two straight games?

Your Chicago Bulls are coming home for their first playoff action in the United Center in five years. And they arrive with their first-round I-94 series matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks astonishingly tied, 1-1, in a series that could easily have been 2-0 Bulls had Chicago not shot a paltry 32.3% from the field in Game 1 on Sunday.

The Bucks drew first blood, barely winning 93-86 Sunday, but they looked shaken by Chicagos incredibly effective and engaged defense, and outside of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez, struggled to get much cooking on offense themselves. They shot just 40.5% from the floor.

On Wednesday, Chicago put forth the same stellar defensive effort, and this time their shots fell. They beat the Bucks 114-110, though they led by as much as 18 points during this road bout. DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic were the scoring stars , while Alex Caruso led the way on defense and Patrick Williams stepped up to remain an enticing two-way player.

Perhaps the Bucks enjoyed a better Shot Quality Score in Game 2, but DeMar DeRozan has built a career off of making impossible shots, and he certainly proved that on Wednesday night in pouring in his first-ever 40+ point playoff performance, going 16-of-31 from the field, including his signature array of tough makes both inside the paint and around the elbows.

Sportsnaut: Bucks Will Beat Bulls In Six Games

Vincent Frank writes: “The defending champion Bucks remain a force heading into their Round 1 outing against the struggling Chicago Bulls. Giannis Antetokounmpos recent performances tells us a story of a team that is trending in the right direction at the right time. Chicago had been among the top-three teams in the Eastern Conference pretty much throughout the season. An injury to Lonzo Ball coupled with some inconsistent play has this team heading into the postseason having lost six of 10.”

Jrue Holiday scored 26, and the defending champion Bucks came away with another easy win after two shaky performances at home.

Top Bet: Bucks 118 Bulls 108

It writes: “The Bucks are the favorites to win the series against Chicago for a number of reasons. For one, they defeated the Bulls in all four meetings back in the regular season. The last time they met, the Bucks scored a 127-106 win in Windy City back on Apr. 5. They have the best player entering the series in Giannis Antetokoumpo, the homecourt advantage, and a better offense. The Bucks ranked third in scoring with 115.5 points per game. Antetokounmpo leads the team with 29.9 points per game, while five other Bucks average at least 10.1 points per contest. The Bucks frontcourt is now more or less 100 percent healthy with Brook Lopez back. With Lopez, Antetokounmpo, and Lopez, Milwaukee should have someone at all times to put offensive and defensive pressure on Vucevic.”

Chicago Bulls Vs Milwaukee Bucks: Postgame Grades And Analysis

Morry Gash/Associated Press

Like Games 2 and 3 in this series, Saturday’s Game 4 between the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls was highly competitive. But no playoff game this season had an ending quite as exciting as this one.

After several lead changes, the Bucks never trailed in the fourth quarter, and despite squandering a seven-point lead in the final minute, they knocked off the Bulls, 92-90, on a buzzer-beating lay-in by Jerryd Bayless, extending this series back to Chicago for a Game 5.

Impressive performances by Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol turned out to be for naught, as Milwaukee’s well-rounded attack led the team to the franchise’s first postseason win since 2010.

Game Grades at a Glance
Chicago Bulls

Derrick Rose: B

This postseason has unexpectedly brought about vintage Rose. In Games 1 through 3, he had averaged 24 points and eight assists on 47 percent shooting. He wasn’t as flashy on Saturday, making just one of his first five shots and going 5-of-13 overall.

He didn’t take particularly good care of the ball in Game 4, turning it over four times before halftime and eight times over the entire contest. He racked up six assists, leading the team, and made a few nice feeds that don’t appear in the box score, like a slick pocket pass to Pau Gasol for a hockey assist to Jimmy Butler.

Fansided: Bucks Will Beat Bulls Have Lengthy Run In Playoffs

Michael Saenz writes: “The Milwaukee Bucks may not be entering the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, but they are the most complete and best team. Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player in the East and they have the best supporting cast of any other playoff team. Jrue Holiday is having an underrated season and even though Khris Middleton hasnt had the best of years, hes still a really good second or third option. And coming off a championship run, in which he hit some big shots, hes a player that could rise in the postseason. If the Bucks can raise their defensive intensity to a consistent level, Milwaukee is going to be nearly impossible for any East team to beat four times in seven tries. Good luck, Im betting on this team getting back to the NBA Finals.”

Early Success And Injuries

#6 BULLS at #3 BUCKS | FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | April 17, 2022

Could the Chicago Bulls upset the Milwaukee Bucks? The Bulls had a very promising, and somewhat shocking start to the 2021-22 NBA season. They held the number one seed in the East for several weeks before eventually falling victim to the unavoidable cancer in the NBA known as injuries. The team had lost their 2020 fourth overall pick, Patrick Williams, to a ligament tear in his wrist. Williams was announced out for the year only five games into the season. Later in the season, Chicago would struggle with injuries to key players in the backcourt. Newly acquired Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball as well as Zach LaVine who struggled with a knee issue throughout the year.

The Bulls roster is now almost entirely healthy with only Lonzo Ball remaining sidelined for the entirety of the playoffs. Lonzo is a crucial part of the team, and it will be more difficult without him on the floor no doubt. The good news for Chicago is that they happen to have very good depth when it comes to the guard positions. Alex Caruso will most likely be getting the starting nod in the playoffs.

Betuscom: Take The Bulls With The Points Vs Bucks In Game 1

It writes: “The Milwaukee Bucks are expected to breeze through this series and its hard to make a case for any other outcome. That said, the betting markets are an entirely different story and the number being hung here is extremely inflated as a result of the dominance shown by Milwaukee. Their two most recent meetings finished within a bucket of the final spread and the climb to the current market price represents a value on a Chicago team who can keep this somewhat respectable with a decent offensive showing. Antetokounmpo is naturally the biggest mismatch on the floor most nights. His offensive arsenal is one that Chicago simply does not have the bodies to deal with and that in itself is the starting point for those looking to bet online in this one. Despite that being the case, Id expect a somewhat cautious approach from Mike Budenholzer here in how he plays his superstars and thatll allow some runs to be made by Chicago as a result. The over adjustment by sportsbook numbers gives us value on the Bulls in this spot.”

Milwaukee Bucks Vs Chicago Bulls: 3 Big Questions And A Prediction

Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo

Three questions and a prediction as the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls prepare to face off in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

As the 2022 NBA Playoffs prepare to get underway, the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls, who will face off in the 3-6 first-round matchup in the Eastern Conference, are two teams that seem to be trending in opposite directions.

Since Feb 26, the Bulls are just 7-15. They dont have a good, much less elite, defense and will be behind the 8-ball to start against the Bucks. Chicago has struggled all season long against the best of the best in the NBA and its hard to see that changing when the teams take the floor for Game 1.

The Bucks know what it takes to get the job done in the playoffs and will be looking to win a second-straight NBA Championship. Looking at the rest of the Eastern Conference, its difficult to pinpoint any other team in the conference thats playing better basketball than Milwaukee.

We explore three big questions and a prediction ahead of the start of the first-round series between the Bucks and Bulls.
