North Coast delivers a diverse bill that includes headliners such as Kaskade, Griz, Zeds Dead, Claude Von Stroke, and so many more. Once the gates close for the night, the party spills over into several after parties at local dance clubs.â

Chicagos Arc Music Festival Returns In 2022 With Another All

Debuting last summer, Chicagos ARC Music Festival paid homage to the citys history as the home of house music with a lineup composed entirely of artists spanning the genre. Now, organizers are spinning the concept again.

On Monday , the festival announced another sojourn through the many flavors of house music with a heavy-hitting lineup for its sophomore event. ARC Music Festival 2022 will feature a whos who of the global house scene including Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, DJ Tennis, Charlotte De Witte, Lane 8, Chris Lake, Anna, Adam Beyer playing b2b with Eric Prydzs alter-ego Cirez D, Nora En Pure and many others.

The house music festival will return to Chicagos Union Park over Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 2-4. Expanding from two to three days, the 2022 event will once again feature a stage hosted by renowned Spanish party brand Elrow, known for throwing happily frenzied dancefloor experiences.

As with its debut year, ARC is paying homage to the citys own iconic and up-and-coming artists with Chicago-born acts including Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter, DJ Lady D, Farriswheels Gene Farris, Green Velvet of Get Real, Chip E., veterans Ron Carroll and Mike Dunn, along with rising Windy City act Kryptogram.

Am I Missing Any Epic Chicago Music Festivals

When I began writing this article I had NO IDEA there were going to be this many epic music festivals in Chicago! I havent been to the windy city since I was a kid visiting his older sister in college, but its been a dream of mine since the same time to experience the famous Lollapalooza festival! I dont know where Ill be during this summer, but Im thinking a visit to Chicago sounds pretty great to check out a few of these festivals!

Chicago Announces Dates For Millennium Park Music Festivals

Chicago has announced more information about the dates and lineups for three of the city’s most popular free music festivals at Millennium Park.

CHICAGO — Chicago has announced more information about the dates and lineups for three of the city’s most popular free music festivals at Millennium Park.

The Chicago Jazz Festival will take place September 1-4.

Chicago’s House Music Festival will run from September 15-18.

The World Music Festival Chicago will be from September 30t until October 9.

Logan Square Arts Festival

âThe Logan Square Arts Festival is a three-day celebration of the creativity, diversity, and vitality of Chicagos Logan Square neighborhood. The festival features two stages of live music, visual art, performance art, dance, food, and drinks, presented in the heart of Logan Square. In 2018 the festival welcomed a record 35,000 guests and helped raise $12,500 for Logan Square Preservation, a community organization dedicated to beautification and educating citizens about the neighborhoods architecture and history. This years festival is particularly special as it coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Illinois Centennial Monument, the focal point of the festival and of the neighborhood.â

Big Evanston Block Party

When: August

âChicagos neighbors to the north throw an end of the summer blow-out at the Big Evanston Block Party, which take place on the citys main drag. The street festival is a two-day affair, headlined by stalwart indie-rock act Guided By Voices and alt-country outfit the Old 97s. Admission is free and the Purple Line will drop you off right by the events entrance, so why not take a weekend trip?â

Chosen Few Picnic Festival

âFounded by Wayne Williams in 1977, the Chosen Few Disco Corp., a group of popular DJs from Chicagoâs South Side â Williams, Jesse Saunders, Tony Hatchett, Alan King and Andre Hatchett â were part of the first wave of DJs and producers in Chicago who created the sound that became known as House Music.

Later naming themselves the Chosen Few DJs, the collective first played their unique brand of soulful dance music to huge crowds throughout Chicago, then spread their sound across the world. To the original group of five, the Chosen Few DJs added two new members â Terry Hunter and Mike Dunn, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. Since 1990, the group has organized the Chosen Few Picnic & Festival, which draws an estimated 50,000 House Music fans to Chicagoâs Jackson Park each July. In addition to their signature event, the Chosen Few DJs regularly host events in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York, perform at festivals around the globe, including the Amsterdam Dance Event, Winter Music Conference, and Suncébeat, and continue to produce award-winning music.â

CHICAGO A Fourth of July weekend tradition returned Saturday to Chicago’s South Side.

About 45,000 people were in attendance in Jackson Park for the Chosen Few Picnic and Festival.

The annual house music event featured top deejays from Chicago and around the world.

Fans came ready to dance after the pandemic forced the festival to go virtual for the past two years.

“The emotion of everyone here, they’re being fulfilled,” said Chosen Few Picnic Spokesperson Kevin McFall. “It’s a family reunion first and foremost, but then it’s also a celebration of the music, fellowship, and friendships.

This was the picnic’s 30th year.

The festival has been running for several years since the start. Normally the festival is hosted in June but dates have differed a bit during the years.

The focus is on achieving a sustainable lifestyle which has been the main theme of the festival during the years. This means the regular eco questions about waste footprint, recycling, water and energy consumption and much more.

As a visitor that have been there every year I must say that the festival hosts have achieved a great setting together with the progressive Bucktown community and artists.
