Chicago P.d. Infection Part 3

Chicago Pd Concluded The One Chicago Crossover In Infection Part 3 Find Out What Happened In Our Chicago Pd Season 7 Episode 4 Recap

Chicago P.D. 7X04 “Infection, Part III” Preview (with slo-mo) 3 Hour Crossover

This weeks Chicago PD served as the final part of the latest One Chicago crossover, and no one can argue that it didnt end the Infection storyline on a dramatic note.

The third chapter of Infection begins with Jay Halstead and Hank Voight chasing the evil doctor through Chicago Med, while the rest of the hospital is alerted that theres an active security threat. But Dr. Seldon has already gotten in his car and left. Again, yay for sub-par hospital security.

Voight returns to the district, where Trudy Platt tells him that two of the quarantined patients are still at large too, and about the riot that Firehouse 51 just broke up. She rallies all of the uniformed officers to look for Seldon, who may have gotten on a train. Or he may not. But not only do they not know where he is, they dont know why hes doing this.

Cue Vanessa Rojas with the exposition: the guys personal life fell apart a few months ago. Did it cause him to snap? The team looks for Seldons ex-wife, but a ping on his cell phone reveals that he got to her first. Upstead find an emergency bunker in her basement and blood on the door, but it takes Jay a second to realize they cant get in. You didnt notice the keypad on the door, dude?

What Can Chicago Pd Fans Learn From Infection Part 3 Look Closer At This Weeks Episode With Our Chicago Pd Season 7 Episode 4 Takeaways

What did One Chicago fans learn from the latest Chicago PD episode? Heres what we took away from this weeks installment, Infection, Part 3.

Infection, Part 3 featured the Intelligence Unit hunting a disgruntled research scientist who had unleashed his super-virus on Chicago. Understandably, the fear of violent deaths ruined the citys Oktoberfest parade, and politics still managed to get in the way.

If you missed any of this weeks episode or just want a refresher on the events that were about to discuss, you can catch up with our Chicago PDrecap.

Below are our takeaways from this weeks episode:

Chicago Pd Review Sympathetic Reflex

Chicago PD has over-delivered with every single episode this season, but theres something particularly special about the Atwater-centric episodes, including Chicago PD Season 10 Episode 6.

Atwater episodes may be few and far in between, but the writers go the extra mile for LaRoyce Hawkins and he never drops the ball, always giving a performance filled with so much heart, soul, integrity, and most importantly, empathy.

Anytime the storyline focuses on Hawkins character, I know were in for an exceptional ride from start to finish.

I dont even care that the series pushed aside Uptons takedown of the chiefs son for trafficking underage girls because this episode was so solid.

It all started when Atwater and Torres responded to a carjacking. You would think its a run-of-the-mill case, particularly in Chicago these days, but that couldnt be further from the truth as the man was dragged by the carjackers for miles and ended up dying in Atwaters arms.

Remember Atwaters powerful speech about empathy he gave at the kickstart of the episode? This is where it comes into play.

While Intelligence didnt know much about the offenders, they were able to pinpoint the car that they drove to a wealthy mans home in Lakeview, where, upon arrival, they witnessed a tussle between three men.

Unfortunately, Johnny wasnt able to fill in the blanks for CPD or corroborate Atwaters story because he died after being rushed to the ER. And it was a death Kevin did not take lightly.

Is Chicago Pd New Tonight Everything We Know About Season 10 Episode 7

Chicago PD is airing a brand new episode tonight, Nov 9, 2022, titled Into the Deep.

And Season 10 Episode 7 is the one that fans have been waiting for as it is the continuation of Hailey Uptons investigation into Sean ONeal , the son of the Chief of the Bureau of Organized Crime, Patrick ONeal .

On Chicago PD Season 10 Episode 5 titled Pink Cloud, Upton stumbled upon evidence that led her to believe that ONeal has been using his safehouse as a cover for trafficking young girls.

Shes certain about her theory after seeing the look on Abbys face just before she jumped to her death and right after Upton mentioned that shes been working with Sean. All roads lead back to him but given that hes the son of a decorated officer, her case needs to be airtight. And that means Upton has to get as close as ever to Sean in order to bring him down and have the charges stand. Especially since the Chief doesnt think shes thinking clearly following Halsteads decision to quit the team and move away. Patrick also wasnt pleased when Intelligence picked up Sean in the first place while trying to solve Abbys disappearance.

Since that episode, PD pivoted to another really fantastic episode focused on Atwater, but now its time to get closure on the case that Upton made personal.

Heres the synopsis for tonights episode along with the trailer:

Does Jay Have Terrible Luck

Chicago PD

Jay Halstead was almost forced to infect himself with the bacteria at the end of this episode. Luckily, he was rescued by several of his teammates in time. But did anyone feel bad for Jay, considering that in last seasons three-show crossover, he was shot during the conclusion of that Chicago PD episode?

Granted, he was wearing a bulletproof vest, so he was bruised instead of wounded, but thats two of the last three crossovers where something bad has happened to Halstead. He really shouldnt have approached that conference room alone. Hopefully next season, hell get through the event without a life-threatening incident.

Chicago Pd Infection Part Iii

On Chicago Fire Season 8 Episode 4, it was established that there was a deadly outbreak in Chicago, while Chicago Med Season 5 Episode 4, established that it was bio-terrorism, a man-made attack on the city.

To quote Will Halstead words, it was apocalyptic.

Fittingly, the last installment of the crossover event focused on finding the man responsible.

No time was wasted as Intelligence jumped into figuring out who was behind the massive outbreak sending mass hysteria echoing through the city confines.

Before I dive fully into this episode, I have to say that this was some excellent work on behalf of the #OneChicago team from the writers to the directors to the actors to the makeup department.

That flesh-eating bacteria was the most disgusting thing Ive ever seen.

It felt more like a movie than an annual crossover.

Its taken them a few years, but theyve perfected the formula.

Best of all, all three shows were integrated organically.

All the heavy hitters from Chicago Fire, Med, and PD were utilized accordingly throughout the entire length of the crossover making it hard to tell which show you were watching.

They embodied the word crossover in every sense of the way.

Everyone was affected everyone had something at stake.

The final hour picked up right after Med patients broke free from quarantine, but since the episode was so intense, the moment became a blimp in the overall story.

First on the agenda was identifying the suspect.

Chicago Pd Review Into The Deep

Chicago PD delivered part 2 of Upton versus Sean ONeal, and boy, I was not expecting half of the twists that they threw our way. Chicago PD Season 10 Episode 7 was an excellent installment, and an excellent follow-up to Chicago PD Season 10 Episode 5 titled Pink Cloud.

The one thing we knew is that it wasnt going to be easy taking down the Chiefs son, who Upton suspected of sex trafficking young women and children. The case had to be airtight with irrefutable proof, which meant that the members of Intelligence were going to have to go to great lengths to get it done.

First, Voight wanted to make sure they had a case, which is why Upton staked out Sean all by herself for what seemed like weeks on end. She didnt have a problem with any of it because, as we all know, shes using this case as a scapegoat for dealing with her personal feelings about Halsteads abrupt exit. She doesnt want to face the music or go back home, so shes pouring herself into this case. She couldnt save her relationship, but shes hoping she can save these young and innocent girls that have largely been forgotten but the rest of the world. Its not ideal for her mental health, but there are worse ways for her to cope so at least shes doing something productive.

While it seemed as though Sean largely stuck to his routine, Upton proved that she had something when she spotted him meeting with Victor Helms, a slippery man who was arrested numerous timesbut never convictedon trafficking cases.

Ruzek: You and your ex-husband built a panic room. Some of this must make sense. Seldon’s wife: For when an outbreak happened, not for when he caused one. My ex-husband is not crazy, he’s not a monster, he dedicated his whole life to infectious disease, and it’s not paranoia. It’s fear, it’s educated and grounded fear. And look, all you have to do is turn on the news to see that there are a thousand ways the world could end. I mean, there’s climate change, and there’s famine, and there’s the war, and then there’s lack of water, and there’s disease. And the right outbreak at the right time with the right factors, it could end this race within months and that’s not paranoia. That is a truth that people can’t handle looking at. And he had to look at it every single day.

What a boss!

Where Was Crawford

The point of every One Chicago crossover is that its a crisis so massive, it requires the teams from all of the shows to solve it.

As a result, most of them also feature an appearance from at least one high-ranking person. After all, if the whole city of Chicago is threatened, the people who are in charge ought to notice.

However, interim Police Superintendent Jason Crawford was noticeably absent from Infection. Crawford did get a mention by Trudy Platt , but for a situation this huge, youd think that he would have made an appearance to personally check in on the investigation.

Was Adelstein unavailable to appear on Chicago PD because of another project? Or was a scene with him cut for time? There are explanations for him not being there, and wed like to hear them. Even Jerry Gorsch showed up for the last three-hour crossover.

How Was Will Okay

Dr. Will Halstead continued to get knocked around in this episode, brawling with the evil doctor and getting himself a head wound as a result. But even though Will was seen with a very large amount of blood on his head, he was quickly fine and running around to finish manufacturing a cure for the bacteria.

Uh, what?

His injury looked pretty serious, so how was he able to look and act as if nothing was fine just a few scenes later? Or if it wasnt meant to be that serious, someone overdid it on the stage blood. Either way, Wills had a time of it recently. He was almost shot in last seasons midseason ender, in a car accident in last seasons finale, and now hes getting pummeled. Ow.
