Frequently Asked Questions And Answers

What are people saying about american restaurants in Chicago, IL?

This is a review for american restaurants in Chicago, IL:

“Trivoli Tavern was recommended to me by friends who had visited Chicago and had let me know that I NEEDED to try it out before leaving and boy were they right! This place was perfect! Dinner began with butter rolls and they were amazing. For my main course i had the vodka rigatoni which was SO rich. My husband had the steak frites and that was all he could talk about our whole trip. Every where we went to eat after Trivoli Tavern my husband kept reminding that the “steak isn’t as good as it was at Trivoli Tavern”. Our server was very kind and made my husbands birthday dinner special. 10/10 recommend!”

The Beer Cellar At Dusek’s Board & Beer

1227 West 18th Street / Pilsen

You push through a movable bookcase, speakeasy-style, to enter the Beer Cellar at Dusek’s. This quirky hidden gem of a space, which holds the restaurant’s large-format beers and wines, can seat up to 30 . Start with hand-passed apps like roasted chicken, black truffle and foie gras aioli sliders, scallop ceviche or rosemary lamb brochette. Move on to meander various stations set with New York strip and olive oil smashed potatoes, seasonal vegetable tagine with couscous and harissa or cheese and charcuterie boards. Pair all of the above with the array of large-format punch bowl drinks from the adjacent Punch House. You’ll be hard-pressed to push back through the bookcase into the real world at the night’s end.

Joes Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab

60 E Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611Phone: 312-379-5637

This restaurant may be famous for its steaks and seafood, but Joes also has top-notch private dining.

Located across from the upscale Shops at North Ridge, you can enjoy a shopping spree before settling in for your meal. Or, take some photos at the nearby Tribune Tower, a historical landmark about a block away.

The selection of private dining at Joes is what makes it so unique. Some rooms hold as many as 120 people comfortably, and there are fully private and semi-private options.

A few menu choices for private dining include my personal favorites, Chilean Sea Bass, Calamari, and bone-in Filet Mignon.

Boasting everything from breakfast to evening cocktail hours, Nico Osteria takes private dining to a new level.

Your private party will enjoy their fare overlooking the Gold Coast neighborhood, one of the most magnificent views Chicago has to offer. Nico is slightly below the point where North Rush Street and North State Street merge.

Nico has some of the best Italian cuisines in the city, including their private dining menus. I have had many dinner receptions here and can vouch for their braised beef short rib and pasta dishes.

Nico also has an extensive breakfast list, ranging from granola and fruit to chef-selected choices like prosciutto and avocado toast.

The Ivy Room is a breathtaking, airy event space in Chicago with its private chef that prepares customized menus for all.

I will never get over how stunning this space is. The courtyard is filled with lush greenery and suits a cocktail party flawlessly, while the interior makes for a lively dance floor. And, since it is only a block north of the Grand subway station, it is easy to get there.

The Ivy Room offers an abundance of menus, ranging from charcuterie boards to Italian dinners.

Fall is my favorite time of year, so their Autumn menu holds a special place in my heart. The Maine scallops warm you up wonderfully on a chilly fall evening.

The Perch Kitchen And Tap

Lee Wing Wah

1932 W Division St, Chicago, IL 60622, United States 486-2739

The Perch has house-brewed craft beer and a wood-fire grill. Outdoor and indoor seating is available for small and large groups. Its a restaurant and a bar with exclusive beers on tap all the time. They have limited seating, so reservations work best. They cant guarantee indoor or outdoor seating, so ensure you are appropriately dressed for both environments. The maximum number of people in your group should be six. Aside from the beer, they also have wines and cocktails on the bar. You must taste the wood-fire cauliflower steak, chicken, or prime ribs. The restaurant has a tasty kids menu. Some of their salads and sandwiches are a must-try as well.

When youre craving German food, The Berghoff Restaurant is the only place that you should consider in Chicago. Theyve been serving up traditional German fare since 1898. The wood paneling and the chandeliers will give you an old-world vibe that is impossible to duplicate elsewhere in the city. Its actually one of the first bars to get a liquor license after prohibition, and the original speakeasy can still be found inside. As for the food, youll find a bit of everything, but Gretchens Potato Pancakes should be ordered to start off every meal.

Chicago bars, restaurants that serve alcohol get midnight curfew

Dining in Chicago with a large group isnt hard if you know where to go and the best time to make those restaurant reservations. Whether youre celebrating a birthday with your family, need to entertain business clients or meeting with friends to watch the big game, large groups are welcome in many establishments throughout the city.

Family-friendly restaurants like Café Ba-Ba-Reeba and Emilios Tapas are great whether or not you have kids in your party.

If youre heading to a big game either at the United Center or want a bar atmosphere, WestEnd Bar and Grille lets you get in on the action.

Brunch is popular in Chicago but the lines can be down the block at some hot spots. Head to Wishbone in the West Loop but get in early if you want your entire group to be seated together.

Ethnic restaurants are usually a good bet for large parties. Many of the restaurants in Greektown can easily accommodate large groups and some even have menus specifically for large parties. Most also have party rooms or outdoor space for when the weather cooperates.

Hosting a large party for dining in Chicago can be enjoyable and delicious when you find the right restaurant. Luckily Chicago has plenty from which to choose.

The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant

1401 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60605Phone: 312-786-1401

Enjoy your meal in historical digs in the renowned South Loop district at The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant.

Initially a firehouse, today it operates as a restaurant and bar with unique firehouse-like furniture and spacious dining rooms for private parties.

Classy casual is the best way to describe the vibe at The Chicago Firehouse, and each private dining area has its feel.

From brunch in the Solarium to a reception in the intimate Mayors Room, the Firehouse has something for everyone. Serving up American comfort food like macaroni and cheese and Vegan options like cauliflower steak, no one leaves hungry.

If you want a luxurious feel for your private event, look no further. Prime & Provisions has tons of private and semi-private spaces for a memorable evening out.

They enforce a strict dress code as well, so make sure your guests dress appropriately. Prime & Provisions is next to the Riverwalk, a lively stretch parallel to the Chicago River.

Customization is fundamental for the perfect event, and Prime & Provisions has you covered. I cannot recommend their mac and cheese cups enough, and their steaks are melt-in-your-mouth tender.

The Prime Seated Dinner is my favorite private dining option here, as you can choose everything from filet mignon to chocolate mousse tarts.
