My Personal Favorite: Dough
Dough is hands-down the best place to get pizza in San Antonio. They specialize in Naples-style pizza thats delicious and fillingwithout a ton of grease. Dough sources their ingredients from local farms and ranches to produce mouth-watering pizzas that are light, crisp, and perfectly balanced. Im a sucker for the arugula and prosciutto pizza, but my husband adores the sausage and heirloom cherry tomato pizza.
P.S. If you arent in the mood for pizza, Dough makes tasty antipasti like truffle burrata.
But whatever you do, try to get to Dough before the rush or order to-go. After being featured on The Food Network, its not unusual for this restaurant to fill up on a Saturday at noon.

Best Pizza For Parties: Rays Pizzaria
My parents and my husbands parents met each other for the first time over pizza at Rays. This joint holds a special place in my heart for its delicious and affordable Italian fare. The Chicken Pesto Pizza is hands-down my favorite, but my coworkers loved the Philly Steak Pizza, too.

The Best Pizza In San Antonio

Maybe San Antonio doesnt offer a singular pizza type with trademark touches like the burned blisters of a pizza napoletana, the foldable perfection of a New York pie or the knife-and-fork dive of Chicagos deep dish. But even without a signature style, our city is still a pizza kind of town. After all, the Alamo City pizza scene includes a spot where the owner built his own oven, a Food Network staple thats certified by the Italian government, a riverside eatery with hand-pulled mozzarella from an Iron Chef competitor and a humble spot where you can have Tex-Mex on your pie. Get to know pizzerias that with their combination of styles create the unique San Antonio pizza scene that no place else can match.

Reviews For Chicago’s Pizza
I want to give this place 5 stars because the food is excellent. The deep dish definitely tastes close to Chicago deep dish. Only thing I have to say negative is the waitress really has a raunchy attitude. If she can be more professional and upbeat next time I come in with my family I’ll give Chicago’s a 5 star rating.
First time here, Chicago Style pizza was good. Takes about 35 min to make, so I suggest you call ahead if you don’t wanna wait. Hand toss meat lovers pizza was good too. The chicken parm sandwich was ok, wish it had more chicken though. It was like eating a marinara and cheese sandwich . The staff is friendly and welcoming.
Build Your Own Authentic Brick Oven Pizza
Come visit Trilogy Pizza and experience the mouthwatering taste of our amazing pizza! Our selections of cheese, meat, and other toppings can’t be beat. We are located in beautiful San Antonio, Texas.
New York Traditional Originally introduced to New York from Naples, Italy, in the early 1900s, New York-style pizza has become distinctively American. The hand tossed crust is very thin, slightly crispy on the outside, and chewy on the inside. The sauce is a simple marinara, and the cheese is 100% whole milk mozzarella.
Chicago Deep Dish *25-Minute Cook TimeSince the 1940s, the identifying feature of Chicago-style pizza is a deep dish with massive amounts of ingredients. Olive oil is used in the pans to add a slightly fried crispness to the crust. Mozzarella cheese is placed directly on top of the dough. The toppings are placed on the cheese and then a flavorful marinara sauce is poured on top to create a two-inch deep pie! Our own signature blend of spice and cheese is added for the final touch.

Most Affordable Pizza By The Slice: Miss Ellies
My husband swings by Miss Ellies every now and then for lunch. You can order a simple slice of cheese pizza for as little as $2.50, which is an awesome cheap meal. If youre feeding a crowd, you can order the large Miss Ellies Special, which is a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, meatball, onion, olives, mushroom, and peppers for $24.95.

Most Decadent Pizza: Poppys Pizza
Poppys used to be on my way home from work and I stopped in there more times than I can count to pick up some greasy goodness for dinner. Poppys definitely makes one of the more decadent pizzas in town: the grease will dribble down your chin, but in the best way possible. Try Hals New York Pizza with sausage, peppers, and onions, or a simple pepperoni pizza to satisfy your cravings. The desserts change from time to time, but if you have a sweet tooth, you have to try Poppys cannoli.

Best Upscale Pizza: Il Forno
Il Forno is owned by local food juggernaut Restaurant Gwendolyn, so the pizza is obviously going to be amazing. All of Il Fornos pizzas are 12, but they come in fun options like Carbonara, Things Found Underground , and Fun Guy . At $15 for a 12 pizza, its a little bit more expensive, but youre getting primo ingredients and flavors, so I think its worth it.
Keep in mind that Il Forno has funky hours. Theyre closed Sunday Monday, so double-check their hours before you stop by.
