Nonstop Flights Chicago To Italy
I am looking for any Star Alliance member airlines that fly nonstop from Chicago to Italy – Rome, Milan, maybe Naples? Trying to use United miles and united doesn’t fly there direct.
I really don’t think there are any nonstop on United or a partner airline. We have used our miles several times to Italy and always have to connect mostly in Munich or Frankfort. There is a flight from DC to Rome but I’ve never had much luck finding seats. If you do take flights that connect make sure you have plenty of time for the connection. The airlines like to cut it close sometimes.
Also, we think it’s best to fly into one city and out of another so less back- tracking. We are flying into Rome and out of Florence this next trip. The Florence airport is so much smaller and closer to city center and we think less confusing.
There are also United nonstops from Newark to both Rome and Milan — these are old Continental routes.Milan is quite cheap from the NYC area right now because of a new competitor on the route.
Lufthansa is very good and and in Star Alliance. Do they have any nonstops to Munich or Frankfurt from Chicago. I have flown them from NY to Sicily via Munich. I imagine you will find it more difficult to get a free flight on Lufthansa than United, but it depends, esp. on season.
You don’t specify timing, but looking at next summer the only non-stops I see between ORD and

In its prime it was capable of holding 80,000 people, all of whom came to watch the bloody violence of the gladiatorial games. AS Be prepared though, the Colosseum is easily accessible to the public and does draw very large crowds.
The ForumThe Forum was the centre of the ancient city and hosts a variety of significant attractions. The Temples of Jupiter, Titus and Vesta and Arch of Severus to name a few. The Forum is located right beside the Colosseum and it’s worthwhile doing the two together.
