Jury Must Decide If Times Was ‘reckless’ Vs Palin
New York A longtime Fox News politics editor, who was fired by the network earlier this month after angering former President Donald Trump, rebuked the current state of American media and skewered right-wing propagandists in a candid opinion piece published Thursday.
Career At Major Radio Stations Including Current Work

As noted above, Wolf joined WLUP in 1982. In September 1991, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Wolf was set to join a new all-sports talk radio station as an afternoon sports talk host. “From time to time, I get offers from stations. But I’m not going to say hello or goodbye to anybody in your column,” Wolf told the Sun-Times’ Robert Feder. Ultimately, Wolf stayed at WLUP.
In February 1994, Wolf ceased working as a morning sports anchor for WLUP’s Kevin Matthews to join WLUP’s sister station, WMVP, as the morning sports anchor for Steve Dahl. “I’m not the new Garry ,” Wolf joked to the Chicago Sun-Times in February 1994. “There never will be another Garry. Garry couldn’t be Garry again. I’m not Steve’s partner. I’m not even his senior associate. I’m merely keeping a seat warm for Tom Thayer until he retires from the NFL.”
In 1996, Dahl left WMVP. Nine weeks later, on May 8, 1996, Wolf’s gig as fill-in morning host at WMVP ended as well, as the station decided to go with a variety of guest hosts.
Between May 1996 and 1998, Wolf largely was off Chicago’s radio airwaves, although he performed occasional vacation fill-in work, most notably at WCKG-FM.
In December 2004and while still on the air at WLUPWolf auditioned for a job working alongside Roe Conn at WLS radio. The pairing didn’t work out, however.
On March 5, 2009, WLUP fired Wolf from his role as a morning radio sidekick, as part of a cost cutting.

Facts Still Matter To Me
As Neil Steinberg pointed out in his column: We live in a country where 40% of Americans believe literally any lie they are told to believe, any fiction they prefer to believe …
Unfortunately, what Steinberg says is all too true.
As a result, I have become so frustrated and discouraged lately about this state of affairs that I often have found it easier to ignore this reality. But I cant. And I wont.
I choose instead to purposely pay attention to these facts and to risk becoming infuriated. I choose to follow the recommendations laid out in Timothy Snyders excellent book, On Tyranny, especially #10: Believe in truth. To abandon facts is to abandon freedom. If nothing is true, then no one can criticize power, because there is no basis upon which to do so. If nothing is true, then all is spectacle. The biggest wallet pays for the most blinding lights.
And I fully realize that, in my efforts to accept what is true, I must also accept Steinbergs caution: We assume, incorrectly, that because facts matter to us, theyre going to matter to everybody.
Nevertheless, the facts matter to me. And always will.

Rafer Weigel: Fox 32 Let Me Go
Rafer Weigel
Rafer Weigel, the Chicago television news anchor who got caught up in a tawdry scandal involving texts of nude photos and allegations of revenge porn, said he was fired Monday from Fox-owned WFLD-Channel 32.
Weigel, 50, had been on unpaid suspension as anchor of Good Day Chicago since October when three-way allegations of harassment and revenge porn surfaced involving a woman from Valparaiso, Indiana, with whom he was having an affair, and a former fiancee.
Although a Northwest Indiana court earlier this month dismissed the Valparaiso womans revenge-porn case for lack of evidence, the damage to Weigels reputation was done. He was never charged with a crime.
Fox 32 declined to comment on the matter or disclose its plans to replace Weigel on the newscast he co-anchored from 4 to 6 a.m. weekdays with Roseanne Tellez. But insiders confirmed that hes out.
Today my career at Fox 32 has come to an end, Weigel wrote in a statement on social media. Despite having my case cleared in court, Fox 32 let me go. I absolutely acknowledge I made some poor decisions in my life and have learned from them. For the past 90 days I have been in treatment for my addictions.
Weigels statement was not specific, but friends said he was being treated for sex addiction. He also is a recovering alcoholic.
From March through October of last year he had been co-anchoring Good Day Chicago with Tellez.

Henry, a former White House correspondent for Fox, was only recently elevated to the role on America’s Newsroom. He got the job after Bill Hemmer moved to Shepard Smith’s afternoon time slot.
In a memo to staff, Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott and President Jay Wallace reminded employees of Fox’s 2017 overhaul of its human resources operation and the avenues they can follow with a sexual harassment complaint.
Fox’s late former chairman, Roger Ailes, was fired in 2016 following harassment allegations made by former anchor Gretchen Carlson. Prime-time anchor Bill O’Reilly lost his job a year later following the revelations of settlements reached with women who had complaints about his behavior.
News Anchor Fired For Flashing
Once upon a recent time–in the city of Youngstown, in the state of Ohio, and in the age of the world-wide web–there dwelled a young lass named Catherine Bosley .
Like many another young lass of her physical and verbal endowments, fair Catherine was a local news anchor. For 10 years, she sat behind a desk and in front of a camera at WKBN-TV , and read to her fellow citizens the telepromptered tales of her time: of shootings and fires, of robberies and car wrecks, of city council meetings and street fairs. She introduced the sports guy, made merry with the weather guy.
Unfortunately, she journeyed last year to Key West, Fla., and there made a different kind of merry.
It seems that 10 months or so ago, fair Catherine and her husband departed the bitter climes of winter Youngstown and went to the Florida outpost on vacation. The couples mood was celebratory–for two reasons. One, Catherine and her mate were observing the first anniversary of their union. Two, Catherine had just recovered from a near-fatal lung disease similar to tuberculosis. Or so sayeth she. And she had also had open-heart surgery.
Afterward, she maintains, she felt terrible. Yea, even blasphemous. I disappointed myself…I disappointed God. But she was about to feel even worse, for there was at the bar a knave taking pictures of the proceedings and, about two weeks ago, the photos showed up, as all things must in this day and age, on-line.
The moral of the story is as follows:

Top Fox News Anchors Accused Of Rape Sexual Misconduct In Lawsuit
Monitoring Desk
NEW YORK: Plaintiffs Jennifer Eckhart and Cathy Areu have filed a lawsuit against the Fox News Network as well as several hosts, including Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Howard Kurtz and the recently fired Ed Henry, accusing the network and anchors of creating and supporting an environment of sexual harassment and misconduct.
According to the lawsuit, which was filed Monday in the Southern District of New York, the outlet has not only cultivated and fostered sexual harassment and misconduct, but has consistently accepted and rewarded it.
Nevertheless, Fox News would have the public believe that it is a different place from the Fox News that was run by former disgraced Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes. Unfortunately, it is actually worse, the lawsuit adds. Ailes resigned from Fox News in July of 2016 after he was accused of sexual assault by 23 women.
Henry, the 48-year-old former co-anchor of Fox News mid-morning show Americas Newsroom, was fired from the network on July 1 after sexual assault allegations against him surfaced.
The Fox News memo on July 1 announcing Henrys firing reads: On Thursday, June 25, we received a complaint about Ed Henry from a former employees attorney involving willful sexual misconduct in the workplace years ago. We immediately retained an outside law firm to independently investigate the claims. Ed was suspended the same day and removed from his on-air responsibilities pending investigation.

On Tuesday, after showing a clip of Ms. Cheney reading aloud the text she had sent to Mr. Meadows, Ms. Ingraham, who hosts The Ingraham Angle, accused the regime media of somehow trying to twist this message to try to tar me as a liar, a hypocrite who privately sounded the alarm on Jan. 6, but publicly downplayed it.
On his show, Mr. Hannity set up a confrontation between Geraldo Rivera and Dan Bongino, a right-wing polemicist who joined the channel in 2019.

Fox 32 Anchor Says He Was Fired After Messy Legal Battle Involving Two Ex
WFLD-Ch. 32 anchor Rafer Weigel said Monday he has been fired by the station following a legal battle involving two ex-girlfriends and charges of revenge porn.
Weigel was suspended from the station in late October after a Valparaiso, Indiana, woman was granted an order of protection against him and details of her case became public.
Today my career at Fox32 has come to an end, Weigel tweeted Monday. Despite having my case cleared in court, Fox32 let me go. I absolutely acknowledge I made some poor decisions in my life and have learned from them.”
The Valparaiso woman and Weigel had a brief relationship, according to testimony, and she said he continued to harass her after the two had broken up.
Its affected every day. Youre terrified and humiliated. I have a police department, court, lawyers, people in Chicago seeing naked pictures of me, the woman said during a hearing in October, under questioning from her attorney. Nobody should go through this hell. Yes, I made a mistake, but I trusted him at the time.
Kathy Browne of Richmond, Virginia, another ex-girlfriend, was charged in late September with a misdemeanor count of distribution of an intimate image in the criminal case.
On Jan. 15, the misdemeanor charge of revenge porn and the order of protection against Browne were dismissed.
Fox 32 and Weigel did not respond immediately to a request for comment Tuesday.
