How Guest Reviews Work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score, we add up all the review scores and divide that total by the number of review scores we received. Guests can also give separate subscores in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. Guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently theres no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didnt actually stay there. To edit a review youve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we’d publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we wont display any reviews that include or refer to :
- Politically sensitive comments
- Personal or sensitive info
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

great location, easy attached parking setup, clean and comfortable
Love being in a great room on higher floors to see the city out the window. The 12th floor pool was excellent.
The people were very professional and extremely helpful. Especially Ashley at the front desk.
Great location for the trains and being in downtown. Being able to hold bags before check-in was truly important for us since we flew into town so early and couldnt check in till after 4pm.
Very nice, without being over the top. Third-party parking is attached, so no need to navigate walking with luggage if you have a car. Very friendly staff.
The location was excellent and a very comfortable stay.
Parking is ridiculous. There should be and hotel parking lot. The hotel was nice but Ill never book again due to parking/prices.
Large Chain Hotel With Amenities Geared Toward Convenience
The Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile is a large, well-equipped chain hotel situated in a 23-story beige high-rise in the heart of Chicago. Decor is typical for a chain hotel — tasteful but somewhat generic and occasionally dated. The lobby pairs white tiled floors and white walls with gray upholstery and orange accents. Small sitting areas feature high-backed armchairs and cushioned bench seating gathered on striped carpets and finished with potted plants and drum pendant lights. Flanking the lobby is a small Starbucks counter that serves coffee in the mornings and a Weber’s Grill, a full-service restaurant with a traditional feel that features rich wood and exposed brick accent walls. Location and convenience are key here, and the hotel gets a range of travelers from business guests to families traveling with children.

Hilton Garden Inn Magnificent Mileambiance
A tan-concrete, rectangular building taking up a good portion of an entire block of East Grand Avenue between North Wabash Avenue and Chicagos iconic State Street, the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile is not the most exciting structure to look atit looks a lot like a hotel. However, once you step into the lobby, you enter a very welcoming space, one that has been renovated in just the past 5 years. The floors here consist of off-white tiles flecked with diamond patterns, and theres a lot of dark wood. Contemporary seating is arranged throughout the lobby, making it a comfortable place to meet up with the rest of your traveling group, or just sit and catch your breath while enjoying a coffee. The in-house convenience store and on-site restaurant are also both accessible directly from the lobby.
