Free Grant Writing Workshop Offered In Georgetown On Oct 8
Learn how to develop and submit fundable grants with a free training sponsored by Interact for Health. Grant Writing 101: The Basics and a Bit Beyond will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Brown County Educational Service Center, 9231 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio.
Workshop participants will receive tried-and-true tools and tips that will help them work from idea to submitted grant proposal, including:
- Basic terminology applicable to a broad range of grants.
- Ideas for finding funding.
- Rules for writing an application.
- Information about responding to common grant requirements.
- Grant management.
There is no charge for nonprofit agencies to attend this class. Representatives from for-profit agencies can attend at a cost of $200 per person. Continuing education units are available for certain groups. Register online at by Oct. 3.

Vivek Mehta Joins Norc At The University Of Chicago As Chief Information Security Officer

CHICAGO, Oct. 28, 2021 NORC at the University of Chicago is delighted to name Vivek Mehta, a recognized expert and thought leader in information technology, as the new Chief Information Security Officer for the Information Technology department.
As head of NORCs information security team, Mehta will ensure NORCs continued excellence in the areas of compliance, operations, and privacy. He will support the ongoing innovation of the IT department by identifying and managing risk reports, developing short- and long-term strategies that support operations of information security, and spearheading business development.
