    CHICAGO – A popular River North restaurant has announced plans to close after 12 years in business.

    In an Instagram post, GT Fish and Oyster said they will wrap up business by the end of the year.

    Eater reports that some of their seafood menu items will migrate over to their sister restaurant, GT Prime Steakhouse.

    No word on if the Boka Restaurant Group has plans for the space.

    Thrillist voted their rooftop patio as one of the best in Chicago. Gibsons Italia offers a chef-driven menu that puts a gourmet and creative twist onclassic Italian food.

    Several restaurants in River North are owned by Lettuce Entertain You, Chicagos largest restaurant group. They are the masterminds behind Bub City, RPM Steak, RPM Seafood, RPM Italian, Pizza Portofino, Beatrix, Ema, Sushi-san, and Ramen-san. The impressive thing about Lettuce Entertain You is that their restaurants are all different when it comes to the overall look and feel of the space and the cuisine served.
