*Neither of these Taste of Chicago restaurants are new and have opened in the past six weeks, but hear us out, because hot dogs and pizza are involved. Pizza joint Taste of Chicago has opened two restaurants in North Texas: an existing restaurant in Addison thats back after a series of renovations and a newish restaurant in downtown McKinney that opened in September 2022. Pizzas are the stars here. But for those lamenting the lack of Chicago-style hot dogs in North Texas, Taste of Chicago sells a classic with green mustard relish, onions, pickle spear and sport peppers.
