Where Is The Office Experience Located
The Office Experience is a pop-up attraction that is currently debuting in Chicago but will tour to other U.S. locations in the future.
Where youre a Chicago local or are in town to visit Millenium Park, take in a sporting event, visit one of the many attractions at Chicagos Navy Pier, or simply feast on famous Chicago Food, The Office Experience tops one of the best things to do in Chicago.
Conveniently located on Chicagos Magnificent Mile, The Office Experience is housed in a large two-story building that can be easily identified by large, The Office Experience signs found on its exterior.
The exact address is 540 N Michigan Ave., found on the corner of N Michigan Avenue and E Ohio Street, across from Pandora Jewelry.
Due to its central downtown location, The Office Experience can easily be visited during any Chicago itinerary, including when youre visiting Chicago in winter.
The Office Experience Debuts
Yesterday, I attended a special Media Preview for The Office Experience, an incredible celebration of the popular television show. Created by Superfly X and Universal Live Entertainment in consultation with The Offices U.S. creator Greg Daniels, The Office Experience converted 17 rooms on two floors of The Shops at North Bridge on the Magnificent Mile into the world of The Office.
The Office Experience follows the success of the Friends Experience. Several months ago, when I interviewed Jonathan Mayers, founder and CEO, Superfly X, about The Friends Experience, he said they had big plans for future exhibits. The Office Experience far exceeded my hopes and expectations. While the Friends Experience had really cool props and a few set recreations, The Office Experience was like stepping on the actual real set of The Office.
The tour starts at Scranton Business Park, complete with Dwight Shrute’s car parked in his usual spot. From there, you step right into Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. There’s Michael’s office, the cafeteria, the stock room, the confession area and every imaginable part of the set.

Take A Look Inside Of The Office Experience Pop
We walked through a recreation of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch at the interactive pop-up.
You may not be ready to return to your office, but you may be tempted to visit the recreation of a fictional workplace that’s the centerpiece of Chicago’s latest pop culture pop-up. Developed by the same team that put together “The Friends Experience,” a two-floor space at 540 N Michigan Avenue now hosts “The Office Experience,” which is filled with painstaking replicas of sets from the beloved NBC show, screen-used props and plenty of opportunities to snap photos that will make you look like a resident of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Developed in collaboration with Universal and series creator Greg Daniels, “The Office Experience” is made of 17 rooms that allow you to walk through key locations and moments from the series. Nearly everything is interactive, which means that you can sit down at Michael Scott’s desk, open a drawer to reveal Dwight’s stapler encased in Jello and pick up phones throughout the the office to hear dialogue from the show. And there are plenty of details that fans will appreciate, from items from Dwight’s desk dangling in a vending machine to the presence of Utz- and Wegmans-branded snacks.
Amidst the various recreations, you’ll find some genuine, screen-used props and costumes from The Office, including various Dundies trophies, some of Pam’s sketchbooks and outfits that correspond to Michael Scott, Pam, Jim and Dwight.
Want To Pretend Youre On The Office Heres Your Chance To Visit Dunder Mifflin

Pams reception desk, Dwights stapler in Jell-O and Michaels Worlds Best Boss mug are all on display at the interactive museum in Chicago.
Fans of The Office, rejoice. Starting Friday, you can sit at a replica of Michael Scotts desk and pose for that Instagram shot. For $37.50 , plus taxes and fees, you can visit The Office Experience, a pop-up museum of sorts for people who love all things Dunder Mifflin.
The Office Experience is located in the space on Chicagos Magnificent Mile once occupied by former fast-fashion giant Forever 21, which I frequented as an early-career cog at the Tribune Company just across the street. The Trib Tower itself kicked out its journalist tenants in 2018 and is now a luxury condo building. But I digress.
The interactive experience is a joint venture between Universal Live Entertainment and Superfly X, which recently produced The Friends Experience in that same space. Stacy Moscatelli, the companys co-president and chief strategy officer, told WBEZ The Office was a natural successor. The series, which had a passionate fan base from its television run, has been gaining new audiences and became the most streamed show in 2020.
We thought it was a great opportunity to give fans the first time to step into Dunder Mifflin, Moscatelli said at a media preview of the space this week.
Anyway, below are some photos from the media preview. The Office Experience will run through Jan. 17, 2022. Tickets are available here.

The Office Experience Por Fin Llega Para Los Fans From Hell

Review: The Office Experience Chicago
Are you a super fan of The Office? Then you wont want to miss The Office Experience at The Shops at North Bridge on the Magnificent Mile! We were invited to the press preview to give you an inside look at the experience and it was incredible. The level of detail to match scenes in the show, number of authentic props in each room that the actors used and wore, and interactive experience blew us away it was obvious that Superfly X and Universal Live Entertainment consulted with the creator of The Office, Greg Daniels to create the spaces.
This two-story experience features 17 rooms filled with original props and costumes, set re-creations and more as you visit Scranton Business Park and other sites associated with the series. There are great facts interspersed throughout like did you know that 57 billion hours of The Office was streamed over the last year?! Seeing the timeline of Jim and Pams love story was sweet, and they also have bios on all the characters with notable scenes that they appeared in.

Interactive Rooms At The Office Experience
There are several areas with interactive components. You are invited to pick up the phones at several of the characters desks to listen to messages and open drawers to find elements from episodes. Open the refrigerator in the break room to find a surprise. Stick your head in the spaces in the wall at Schrute Farms to see who you should fear most of all and be prepared to see yourself as Mose. Lift the beets at the stand to hear some clever quips and characters talking about the most amazing vegetable in the world . Read the lines from cue cards to reenact the famous confession vignettes from the show. Stanleys crossword puzzles were a huge hit with my kids as they tested their knowledge of the show by writing in the answers with dry erase markers on the wall.

Are tickets to The Office worth it?
If youre a The Office fan and are familiar with the show, we feel that the ticket price is well worth the fun and enjoyment that you get from this experience.
Even our kids, ages 10, 13, and 15 loved this experience and the fact that they got to i.e. sit at Michaels desk, play their own game of Dunderball, and take photos with memorable props from the show.
We spent 60 minutes walking around the sets, and another 15 minutes in the gift shop.
Honestly, we were laughing and enjoying ourselves the entire time!
If youre not a fan of The Office or have never seen the show before, this experience may not be for you.

Upon entering the doors to The Office Experience, you must show a valid ticket and vaccine card for everyone in your party.

You can spend as much or as little time in each room as you would like reading signs, viewing props, taking photos, and interacting with the exhibits.
Guests can move about at their own pace and the atmosphere is very relaxed and accommodating.
