Below youll find this years 25 Top Companies in the greater Chicago area. In addition to the big consulting and accounting players, health care and finance have a big presence on the list. Over half of the companies are headquartered locally, either in downtown Chicago or its suburbs, including Allstate , Walgreens , and McDonalds .
To compile the list, we looked at unique LinkedIn data specifically in the Chicago metropolitan area. We measured seven pillars that have been shown to lead to career progression: ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity and educational background. Companies must have at least 50 employees in the city to be eligible. You can see our full methodology at the bottom of this article.
