Apply Early Action/early Decision
Applying Early Action or Early Decision can be helpful as it shows your commitment to UChicago. UChicago offers Early Action 1, as well as Early Decision 1, Early Decision 2, and Regular Decision. Although UChicago does not release statistics on early application outcomes, applying early decision can increase your chances of acceptance. However, it is important to remember that Early Decision is a binding agreement between you and a university, and you must attend if you are admitted. Early Decision applications are due early in November, and it is important that you are completely ready to apply by the application deadline. Additionally, you will be unable to compare financial aid packages between various schools if you apply and are accepted Early Decision, so dont apply Early Decision if you arent comfortable paying the price shown on their net price calculator.
UChicago also offers a non-binding, non-restrictive Early Action deadline. You can still apply early to other universities under this option, and you are not required to attend UChicago if you are accepted to other universities. This can be a great option for someone who is very interested in UChicago, but wants to keep their options open.

Is Loyola Chicago A Dry Campus
Loyolas alcohol policies are pretty straightforward. As a wet campus, so to speak, Loyola seems to grasp the college culture in a way that some universities might not allow. Dry campuses prohibit any use of alcohol for anyone, even those 21 or older. In comparison, Loyolas alcohol policies seem lenient.
Will The University Of Chicago Look At My Social Media Accounts
Likely not. As more and more students apply to top 10 schools, admissions offices simply dont have time to research students outside of the materials they submit.
When thinking about how to get into UChicago, you really dont need to consider your social media as much as the other parts of your application. However, even if UChicago admissions officers will not be checking your social media, you should still behave responsibly on the internet. Posting inappropriate or offensive content could affect your chances for other future opportunities, such as internships or jobs.
So, always use social media wisely. Although its highly likely that UChicago wont look at your Instagram or Twitter account, its always best to play it safe.

How Do Students Start The Application Process
Students should create a UChicago Account and select “First Year applying from a public or charter high school in the city of Chicago supported by UChicago Promise” as their plan.
Students will be then able to upload self-submitted application materials to their account via the “CPS Worksheet” for preliminary review by a UChicago admissions counselor.
Any student who wants a preliminary review should self-submit their full high school transcript as well as a short essay response to the question: What do you feel you need to be happy and successful in college? After those materials are uploaded and have been reviewed, students will receive an email from an admissions counselor that provides additional college application advising.
Students who have been able to take the SAT or ACT can share their scores if they think that they are reflective of their ability and potential or if they would like test-specific advising, but please note that test scores are not required as UChicago has a test-optional admissions policy.
