Schools vary in their SAT subject test requirements. Typically, selective schools tend to require them, while most schools in the country do not.

We did not find information that University of Illinois at Chicago requires SAT subject tests, and so most likely it does not. At least 6 months before applying, you should still doublecheck just to make sure, so you have enough time to take the test.

    The University of Illinois at Chicago is pleased to share the Annual Security & Fire Safety Report with all prospective students.     Yes, financial aid may be available for domestic degree-seeking students. International students may seek out private or third party loans. All students are eligible for university payment plans that allow you to break up your tuition into monthly payments. Please keep in mind that students are only billed each semester for the classes they are enrolled in there is no upfront payment of tuition.â

    Middle 50 Percent Of The Admitted Fall 2021 First

    The values listed below represent the middle 50 percent of students who were admitted to UIC last year. They are not cut-offs for admission. In fact, 25 percent of admitted students fell below these ranges and 25 percent above.

    • Last year was also UIC’s first year allowing a test-optional pathway for admission and about two-thirds of applicants chose to be reviewed without a test score. We have split the profile into a test-optional profile and a test-inclusive profile.

Applicants may begin submitting OIS-requested documents online through the application system checklist during the application period, however, they do not need to be submitted until after an admission decision is made.

    Fall Admissioncourses Start In August

    Students can apply for fall admission through the Common Application beginning in August of each year.

    Early Decision

    Applicants will be considered for all priority merit scholarships offered by the institution. Students will be notified of their merit scholarship award with admission. Notification begins in December.

    Early Action I

    The deadline to be considered for Camras, Duchossois, Crown, and Leadership Academy Scholarship programs. Students will be notified of their merit scholarship award with admission. Notification begins in December.

    Early Action II

    The deadline to be considered for the Chicago Pledge, Collens, VEX, and FIRST scholarship programs. Students will be notified of their scholarship award with admission. Notification begins in February.

    Regular Decision

    The deadline to receive priority residence hall placement and early academic advising. All students will still be considered for merit scholarships. Decisions are released within 2 weeks of receiving completed application materials.

    Applications submitted after March 1 will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please note that we cannot guarantee funding, residence hall placement, or early academic advising for applications received after our regular decision deadline.

    Honors College applicants

    Honors College applicants must be admitted as undergraduates prior to review and include the following with their application:

    • An essay submitted with the application.

    International applicants

    International applicants must meet the core transfer requirements as well as display evidence of English competency and financial certifications. See Undergraduate International Admissions Requirements for details.

    Applicants with foreign credentials

    A mandatory, non-refundable $100 International Credential Evaluation Fee is assessed for all undergraduate degree-seeking applicants who have post-secondary coursework taken outside the United States. International applicants who have only U.S. coursework are not required to submit this fee. Study abroad coursework by U.S. students is excluded from this policy. The fee is assessed once per application term. Payment of the fee will be requested online through the application system.

    Sat/act Writing Section Requirements

    Both the SAT and ACT have an optional essay section.

    University of Illinois at Chicago considers the SAT Essay/ACT Writing section optional and may not include it as part of their admissions consideration. You don’t need to worry too much about Writing for this school, but other schools you’re applying to may require it.
