Experience The Chicago Symphony Orchestra
There are a lot of concerts taking place in Chicago this month, but most of the performers are either pop, rock & roll, or country musicians.
If you prefer classical music, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra will have a few performances to enjoy from June 10th 13th.
Although these shows are still scheduled to take place, its worth noting that any change in government policy could result in the cancellation or postponing of all these concerts.

The pleasant fall weather this month has little rainfall, with 3.2 inches of rain over the course of about 10 days. Very rarely will this precipitation fall as snow.

See The Zoolights At Lincoln Park Zoo
Thanksgiving season is a great time to take the kids to the zoo. Head to Lincoln Park Zoo for stunning light shows and outdoor animal exhibits. To avoid waiting, buy tickets online in advance.

The Bank Of America Chicago Marathon And Fitness Expo
The Chicago Marathon is one of the six World Marathon Majors, and brings in runners from all 50 states and over 100 countries!
Prior to Race Day, you will find the Fitness Expo, which hosts over 200 exhibits with Bank of America Chicago Marathon Merchandise, as well as the best in running apparel, footwear, and nutrition.
The Expo is hosted in McCormick Place on Friday and Saturday, and is free to the public.
The Marathon itself is Sunday, and brings thousands of runners and spectators into the streets of Chicago, and across many of the dynamic neighborhoods.

For more than half a century, this film festival has showcased short and full length films from 50 different countries, while also focusing on films made by Illinois locals.

The popular event Illumination: Tree Lights at Morton Arboretum has been loved by many and chosen as a place to visit during Thanksgiving. Visit A Christmas Tree Farm
One of the other fun things to do over Thanksgiving weekend is to head to a Christmas tree farm in the Chicago area to pick and cut your own Christmas tree. If you dont want to cut the tree yourself, you can simply enjoy the surroundings, take a souvenir photo and buy a new pre-cut tree. Most Christmas tree farms open seasonally on the Friday after Thanksgiving, but some will open on Thanksgiving Day. So, be sure to check the farms opening schedule before you go!
Attend A Sporting Event
There will be a lot of great games to see in Chicago this month.
The Chicago White Sox will be finishing off the regular season in town with one final series against the Detroit Tigers.
There’s also a chance that either the Sox or the Chicago Cubs could make it into the postseason, which would mean even more October baseball in the Windy City!
The NBA season should also be starting this month, which means there will probably be several opportunities to see a Chicago Bulls game.
Alternatively, you might also want to see a Chicago Blackhawks game, as the NHL season should also be starting on time this year.
Last but not least, the NFL season will be in full swing, and there are 3 Chicago Bears games scheduled to take place at Soldier Field this October.

Attend The Thanksgiving Day Parade
One of the best things to do in Chicago on Thanksgiving is join the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade with the Chicagoans on November 25 at 8 a.m. State Street from Congress to Randolph! This has been a Chicago Tradition since 1934!
Featuring creative giant floats, decorated horses, balloons, and marching bands on State Street, the Thanksgiving Parade has drawn more than 400,000 street spectators in recent years. Make sure to arrive early to get a good spot or watch the broadcast on WGN 9.
The Bridgeport Art Center
Located in the Bridgeport building which is a creative home for local artists and designers, there is an outdoor sculpture garden and three curated art galleries.
On the 3rd Friday of each month between 7-10 pm, people are invited to see the painters, sculptors, photographers work.
NOTE: This attraction may or may not be open to the public in June. Check their website to determine whether or not they are open and at what capacity.

This beautiful and historic building is free and open for the public to explore. Beyond the art that lines the walls, you will find free traveling films, lectures, and performances here.
